Source: DASTA (Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration): Wat Sawang Phruetharam listing, checked 14 Oct 2026
What the temple is
DASTA describes Wat Sawang Phruetharam as a temple presumed to date from the end of the Ayutthaya era, because its former wooden ordination hall was built in the style of that time, and from the tale that King Taksin stayed here during the second war in which Ayutthaya was lost.
It is known for its ordination hall, a graceful Buddha image and its many sacred objects.
