The route

Fly to Krabi airport (via Bangkok), then a minivan-and-bridge transfer (the island is now connected by two bridges), or a ferry in high season. From Phuket, a ferry or van also works.

Getting around

Scooter rental is easiest; songthaews and taxis serve the main beaches.
