Google Maps marked the exact Acropolis Greek Restaurant listing permanently closed on 24 July 2026. Trip.com, accessed five days later, still listed Acropolis Greek Restaurant Pattaya at Soi Buakhao Market next to Tony’s Gym and showed it as scheduled to open the following day. Neither listing is an operator announcement, so the conflict remains unresolved.

A documented market-side location

A Pattaya forum post from October 2014 reported that the former Acropolis stall had closed and that the restaurant had opened beside Tony’s Gym at Soi Buakhao Market. This historical report aligns with the location carried by Trip.com. It does not establish that the same operation is trading today.

Don Pepe

Don Pepe Tapas Bar is Pattaya's most serious Spanish restaurant, tucked inside the Central Pattaya Shopping Arcade off Soi Diana. Opened around 2020 in the premises of the old Calles Grill Bar, it does cooked-to-order paella, garlic gambas, croquetas and genuinely imported Spanish produce — Joselito jamón ibérico, Rubia Gallega beef — with a 4.5 TripAdvisor rating. It's a premium night out, not a budget tapas run, and it's famously hard to find on the first attempt.

Casa Pascal

Casa Pascal is Pattaya's best-known European fine-dining room: a long-running, white-tablecloth restaurant on Pattaya 2nd Road opposite Royal Garden Plaza, opened in 2001 and led by Swiss chef Pascal Schnyder. It is the address locals suggest for a proper dressed-up dinner — anniversaries, business meals, a special night out — with polished service and a Mediterranean-villa dining room that feels a world away from the beer bars a block over. The kitchen is European in character: think seafood, steaks, classic Continental mains and a serious wine list, served à la carte at lunch and dinner. The clever twist is the morning brunch buffet (around 385 baht, roughly 8am–2pm), an international-and-Thai spread that lets you sample the room at a fraction of the dinner outlay — evening à la carte can run 2,000 baht or more a head once you add wine. It sits firmly at the top of the price ladder for Pattaya, and that's the point: this is an occasion restaurant, not a casual drop-in. Smart-casual dress fits the mood. It's central and easy to reach on foot from the Beach Road hotels, or a short Grab from anywhere in the middle of town. Book ahead for dinner, especially in high season.
