MK Restaurants is Thailand's biggest suki chain, and this branch inside Big C Extra on Central Pattaya Road is the handiest one for anyone staying centrally — there is another in CentralFestival Pattaya Beach mall if you are nearer Beach Road. Suki is Thai-style hotpot: a pot of clear broth is set into your table, and you order plates of raw ingredients — sliced pork and beef, prawns, fish balls, tofu, glass noodles, mountains of fresh vegetables — to cook yourself, then dip into MK's signature chilli-garlic suki sauce. The other house speciality is Cantonese-style roast duck, and there are dim sum, noodles and rice dishes for anyone not in a hotpot mood. Ordering is by touchscreen tablet with photos and English throughout, so the language barrier is zero. It is bright, air-conditioned, family-oriented chain dining — clean and dependable rather than atmospheric — and popular with Thai families, which is a fair endorsement of the food. Individual plates look cheap at ฿50–150, but they add up fast; a hungry pair typically spends ฿500–800. MK also delivers via its 1642 call centre and the usual apps.
