Capybara Coffee Pattaya

Capybara Coffee is Pattaya's outpost of a small Thai animal-café chain built around the internet's favourite oversized rodent — the famously chilled-out capybara. Tucked into central Pattaya off Pattaya Klang (Central Pattaya Road), it's a novelty café where the draw is meeting, feeding and petting the resident capybaras up close, alongside other friendly animals including meerkats and tortoises, while you have a coffee. It's built for exactly the kind of social-media moment its name promises, and it's genuinely family-friendly: kids are welcome, the animals are handled gently, and the chain makes a point of its animal-welfare commitment. The way it works is an entry ticket plus a compulsory drink: entry is around 400 baht for adults and 200 baht for children for a 30-minute animal session, with drinks starting from about 80 baht (one drink per person is required and isn't included in the ticket), and small bags of capybara snacks for around 100 baht if you want to feed them. That makes it more of a paid experience than a spot to nurse a flat white for an hour, and it's priced as an activity rather than a regular café. Open daily from 9am to 9pm, it's an easy add-on to a central-Pattaya day, especially for families or anyone after a novelty photo with a very relaxed rodent.
