Indian Connection

Indian Connection is an Indian restaurant on Pattaya Klang (Central Pattaya Road), set at the Pattaya Loft Hotel around Soi 12/13 in the middle of town. Its calling card is a value buffet: an all-you-can-eat spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian North Indian dishes at lunch and dinner, alongside a full à la carte menu if you'd rather order the classics — curries, tandoori, breads, biryani and the usual veg options. It pitches itself squarely at the buffet crowd — solo diners, groups and families who want variety without ordering piecemeal — and its central location makes it an easy walk or short ride from the Central Festival and Beach Road hotels. It's a mid-market, functional restaurant rather than a fine-dining room; reviews are mixed and it sits mid-pack among Pattaya's many Indian places, so it's best thought of as a convenient, well-priced all-you-can-eat option rather than the city's top curry house. As with any buffet, the spread is at its best when it's busy and freshly topped up, so aim for peak lunch or dinner times. Prices, the buffet line-up and hours change, so confirm the current buffet price and serving times before you go — especially if you're travelling across town specifically for it.

Patrick's Steakhouse

Patrick's Steakhouse is one of central Pattaya's best-known steak addresses — a long-running, Belgian-run restaurant on Pattaya Second Road, opposite Mike Shopping Mall in the Central Shopping Arcade. It has built a strong reputation among steak-hunting tourists and resident expats, sitting near the top of Pattaya's restaurant rankings on Tripadvisor (around 4.6 of 5 across hundreds of reviews). The pull is the beef: imported cuts from Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Argentina, cooked to order, from a Wagyu ribeye to an Argentinean Chateaubriand, alongside crowd-pleasers like the Hawaiian surf-and-turf (shrimp, lobster and steak) and the loaded Obelix burger. There is a Belgian streak to the place — think proper sauces, a decent beer list and rich desserts such as chocolate profiteroles — and service is generally quick and efficient. The setting is comfortable rather than glamorous: indoor air-conditioned seating and a sheltered outdoor terrace inside a shopping arcade on a busy road, so you come for the food rather than a view. Prices sit in the upper-mid band for Pattaya — a proper steak dinner with wine isn't cheap, but portions and quality are consistent enough that regulars keep coming back. For a reliable, carnivore-focused night out in the centre of town, it remains a dependable pick. Booking is wise on weekends and in high season.

Madras Darbar

Madras Darbar is a long-running Indian restaurant opposite Central Festival, known for dosas, idli and thali as well as North Indian curries, tandoor dishes and biryani. Its official menu serves vegetarian and meat-eating tables equally well, while a central location and unusually late listed hours make it useful from breakfast through after-hours dining. Expect a busy, functional dining room and occasional service delays at peak times.
