Pan Pan (Central Pattaya)
Pan Pan is one of Pattaya's oldest and best-known Italian names, serving the town since the mid-1970s, and this is its central branch. The formula that made it a fixture is unchanged: wood-fired pizzas from a traditional oven at the front of the room, house-made pasta and risotto, grilled meats, and — the part regulars rave about — a proper in-house bakery and gelateria turning out cakes, pastries and Italian ice cream. It's a comfortable, slightly old-school trattoria rather than a trendy new opening, which is exactly why it has kept a loyal expat and repeat-visitor crowd for decades. Prices are fair for the quality and the history: pizzas start under 200 baht, pasta from around 190, and main courses land in the 250–350 baht range, so a two-course dinner with a drink stays firmly mid-range. The gelato and dessert counter is worth saving room for and is a destination in its own right for many locals. Reviews are broadly positive but not universal — some diners find individual dishes hit-or-miss and the style a touch dated — which is a fair reflection of a long-running kitchen that plays it straight rather than chasing trends. For a reliable, central, well-priced Italian with genuine pedigree and a standout dessert case, it's an easy recommendation. There are sister branches in Jomtien and at Central Festival if this one isn't convenient.
