PIC Kitchen is permanently closed. Google Maps and an independent venue directory agree that the former Soi 5 Thai restaurant is closed.

Closure status

Google Maps and the cited independent directory both mark the exact PIC Kitchen identity as permanently closed. Pattaya Trader and Pattaya Mail add a separate successor signal: the former Soi 5 site’s classic food and pavilion heritage moved into the Sun-Sabella project on Thappraya Road, rather than reopening PIC Kitchen at the old address.

The status was verified on July 24, 2026. The archived official site still documents former service hours, promotions and phone numbers, but it does not prove current operation. Those live-style details have been removed.

Archive versus closure boundary

The archived operator pages still display the former 11:00-14:00 and 17:00-00:00 service windows, the Soi 5 address and reservation numbers. That conflicts with the current closure signal, so the archive is used only for historical identity. Pattaya Mail’s 2012 report also places Jazz Pit beside PIC Kitchen on Soi 5 and documents the live-music identity before closure.

What the restaurant was

PIC Kitchen was established in 1984 and formerly operated from 255 Soi 5 in central Pattaya. Its garden, classic pavilion architecture and Jazz Pit performance room were part of its long-running identity; Pattaya Mail’s older coverage describes international jam sessions at the adjoining music room.

What replaced it

Pattaya Trader reported that Sun-Sabella would become a new home for some of PIC Kitchen’s classic Thai and Western food after the Soi 5 site closed. Pattaya Mail later described PIC Kitchen’s former pavilions being dismantled and reassembled at the Sugar Hut grounds. Those reports point to a separate Thappraya Road venue, not a reopening or verified successor at 255 Soi 5.

No verified successor at the former Soi 5 premises and no relocation under the PIC Kitchen name were found. This page remains as a closure notice and historical reference. The archived official pages preserve the 1984 establishment date and Jazz Pit identity, but they are historical material rather than evidence of a reopening.
