About
Shabushi is the conveyor-belt shabu buffet run by Oishi Group — the same Thai food giant behind Oishi Grand and Shabushi’s hundred-plus branches nationwide — and for many Thai families it’s simply what “buffet” means. The pitch is irresistible to kids and efficient for adults: every diner gets a personal induction hot pot, plates of raw pork, beef, seafood, meatballs and vegetables glide past on a kaiten belt, and you grab and cook whatever you like against a 90-minute clock. Sushi, tempura, gyoza, fruit and ice cream stations round it out, so nobody at the table has to compromise.
Pattaya has three branches, all in malls and all in the northern half of town: Terminal 21 Pattaya (3rd floor, North Pattaya Road), Central Marina (Second Road, North Pattaya), and a recently renovated outlet on the 6th floor of Central Pattaya — the Central Festival mall on Beach Road. Ratings sit in the 3.7–3.9 range across review platforms, which is exactly where an honest chain buffet at this price should sit.
Buffet prices & tiers
Oishi publishes fixed net prices chain-wide (Pattaya included); current card as of 2026 — prices change, and not every branch carries every tier:
- Standard (“Suk Im”) — adult ฿399++ / ~฿427 net, child ~฿213 net. The classic belt: pork, beef, seafood basics, sushi, tempura, dessert bar.
- Premium (“Suk Kum”) — adult ~฿534 net, child ~฿266. Adds Angus beef, ribeye and premium salmon sushi.
- Platinum (“Suk Lon”) — adult ~฿641 net, child ~฿320. Imported Australian beef cuts, unlimited seafood, unagi.
- Drinks — refillable soft drinks around ฿40 extra.
- Kids — under 110cm free; 110–140cm pay the child price.
- Broths — clear shabu, black “kuro,” tom yum, or tom yum with shrimp oil.
- Time limit — 90 minutes (the old 75-minute cap was extended); leftover waste can be charged.
The Premium and Platinum tiers are the sleeper value: reviewers consistently call unlimited Angus and seafood for ~฿600 net one of the better buffet deals in town.
Hours & practical info
- Hours: mall hours — roughly 11:00 to 21:30/22:00 daily depending on the branch, with last seating about 90 minutes before close.
- Queues: dinner time and weekends draw Thai family queues, especially at Terminal 21; go at off-peak hours or put your name in and mall-walk.
- Booking: walk-in; queue apps at busier branches.
Location & getting there
All three branches are easy by baht bus. Terminal 21 Pattaya anchors the North Pattaya Road/Second Road corner — any Second Road baht bus passes it; Shabushi is on the 3rd floor food level. Central Marina is a few hundred meters south on Second Road (the mall with Big C inside). Central Pattaya (Central Festival) is the big beachfront mall on Beach Road in the town center — Shabushi sits on the 6th floor dining level, freshly renovated. If you’re staying in Naklua or Wong Amat, Terminal 21 is your branch; from Central Pattaya hotels, the Festival mall outlet is walkable.
Shabushi vs the local buffets
Worth knowing before you commit: Pattaya’s independent buffet scene (the Soi Bongkot cluster, I’m Shabu, the seafood barns) undercuts Shabushi on price — some start under ฿300 — and often runs without time limits. What Shabushi sells for the extra ฿130+ is the format and the floor: mall air-con, consistent chain hygiene, the conveyor novelty, sushi and tempura stations, and net pricing with no upsells. Families with kids and first-time hot pot eaters get the most from that trade; hardened buffet grazers chasing pure volume-per-baht will do better at the independents.
Is it worth it?
As a food destination, no — as a format, absolutely. Shabushi is engineered fun: the belt keeps kids occupied, the personal pots end sharing disputes, the net pricing means no bill surprises, and ฿427 for unlimited hot pot plus sushi in an air-conditioned mall is objectively hard to beat. The honest trade-offs show up in the middling ratings: ingredient quality is budget-chain grade, service at mall branches wobbles at peak hours with missed refills and slow clearing, and the Terminal 21 outlet has historically charged a shade more than sister branches. Go at an off-peak hour, consider paying up for the Premium tier, respect the 90-minute clock, and it delivers exactly what it promises.
