About

Tandoori Indian Restaurant is a generically named Indian restaurant listed in central Pattaya on map data.

Status

Unconfirmed. Central Pattaya has several similarly named tandoori and Indian restaurants, and we found no independent, current confirmation that a distinct business called simply “Tandoori Indian Restaurant” is trading at this spot today. To avoid conflating several different restaurants into one review, we have kept this as an honest, unverified note. For Indian food in central Pattaya, several established, clearly identifiable options nearby are worth checking on a current map or reviews site.

Punjabi Dhaba

Punjabi Dhaba is a North Indian restaurant on Pattaya Soi 8, cooking the hearty, unapologetically rich food of the Punjab — the dal makhani, butter chicken, tandoori and fresh naan that 'dhaba' (roadside eatery) cooking is built on. It is tucked just off Beach Road and Second Road in the busy Soi 6–8 cluster of Central Pattaya, so it is an easy walk from a lot of hotels, and it leans on chefs who cook regional Punjabi recipes rather than a watered-down 'international curry' menu. Expect the classics done properly: slow-cooked black-lentil dal makhani, creamy butter chicken, paneer dishes for vegetarians, biryanis and a tandoor turning out naan and grilled meats. Prices are middle-of-the-road for Pattaya Indian — mains sit roughly in the 250–350 baht band, with breads and sides cheaper — and there is dine-in seating, including a family lounge and a covered terrace, plus takeaway and delivery. It is a solid, no-nonsense choice for a proper North Indian meal in the middle of town, particularly for vegetarians and anyone missing real tandoor bread. Note that Soi 8 is a lively, bar-heavy street, so the setting is more 'busy central Pattaya' than serene.

Jain

Jain is a vegetarian Indian restaurant on Soi Pattaya 7. The current map node marks it vegetarian, and HappyCow lists JAIN Nashta Shikanji at 164/7 Soi Pattaya 7 with Indian and some Chinese dishes, daily 10:00-22:00 hours and a telephone number.

Ali Baba

Ali Baba (trading as Alibaba Tandoori & Curry Restaurant) is a Pattaya institution — by its own account the city's longest-serving Indian restaurant, open since 1984 and now well past its 40th year. It sits on Central Pattaya Road (Pattaya Klang), a couple of hundred metres in from the beach between Beach Road and Second Road, which makes it one of the most convenient Indian meals in the tourist core. The kitchen is classic North Indian and tandoori: aromatic curries from butter chicken to rogan josh, sizzling tandoori platters, biryanis, dals and a full range of freshly baked naan and roti, with a generous vegetarian selection alongside the meat. Four decades in business have earned it a solid following among tourists and expats, and it holds a respectable Tripadvisor rating (around 4.1 of 5 across several hundred reviews, ranked in the city's upper tier) — good rather than flawless, with the occasional off-note you'd expect from a high-volume veteran. Prices are mid-range: most curries run a few hundred baht, so a shared spread with breads and rice is very reasonable for the quality. The air-conditioned dining room is comfortable if unshowy — this is a place trading on consistency and longevity rather than the latest design — and it offers delivery and catering as well as sit-down meals. For a dependable, central Indian dinner with genuine heritage, it's a safe bet.
