Cheap Charlie's is exactly what the name promises: a no-frills Soi Buakhao restaurant and bar that has become an expat institution for rock-bottom Western and Thai food that is actually decent. The headline act is the English breakfast — the small 'Chaplin' fry-up has traded at 89–119 baht, a price that gets it namechecked in every budget-Pattaya video on YouTube — but the long menu runs through burgers, sandwiches, ribs, roasts and a full page of Thai standards, most of it in generous portions. It opens early for breakfast and keeps serving until around midnight, with beer at beer-bar prices, so it functions as diner by day and cheap bar by night. The crowd is heavily expat and returning visitors, with a rotating cast of regulars at the outdoor tables watching Soi Buakhao go by. Nobody comes for the decor, which is basic plastic-and-strip-light Pattaya; you come because feeding two people well for 300 baht in central Pattaya is increasingly rare. The brand has spun off branches (Jomtien, the Darkside), but this Soi Buakhao original is the one people mean.

InYon Korea Food

InYon Korea Food (อินยอน, from the Korean word for 'destiny/connection') is a Korean-run grill restaurant in Central Pattaya best known for its budget Korean BBQ buffet, advertised from 289 baht per person. Unlike the mall-based Korean BBQ places, InYon is a standalone neighbourhood restaurant in the Pattaya Klang area, popular with Thai diners and the local Korean community, serving marinated pork grilled at the table plus a rotating buffet line that goes beyond grill meat — Korean fried chicken, squid in Korean sauce, sides and stews. It also runs an à la carte menu if you do not want the buffet. The vibe is casual and canteen-like rather than polished, it opens into the late evening, and it is one of the cheapest ways in Pattaya to eat your fill of Korean food.
