Welcome Marina is a small, budget hotel on Soi Welcome, the short side-lane running off Jomtien Beach Road, roughly 50 metres from the sand — a cheap, no-frills base for a beach-focused Jomtien stay. It's a modest property of around two dozen rooms rather than a resort, and it plays to the Jomtien budget market: simple, adequately equipped rooms with air conditioning, a fridge, cable TV, a safe and free WiFi, some with a bathtub, at rates that often start around 750 baht (about US$22) in the low season. The two headline pluses are the location — a one-minute walk to Jomtien Beach, with Dongtan Beach and the walking/cycling promenade close by — and the fact that, unlike many hotels in its price bracket, it has a small swimming pool and an on-site restaurant (serving a mix of Italian, Russian and international dishes, reflecting Jomtien's guest crowd). Airport transfers and laundry can be arranged. It won't win design awards and rooms are basic, but for travellers who want to be on the quieter Jomtien beachfront without paying resort prices, it's a functional, well-located choice. Note it's a different, smaller property from the larger 'Welcome Jomtien Beach Hotel' nearby, so book the right one.
