InterContinental Pattaya Resort is a long-established 5-star resort draped down the seaward side of Pratumnak Hill, on Phra Tamnak Road above Cosy Beach — the quiet, green pocket of Pattaya that sits between Walking Street and Jomtien. Formerly the Sheraton Pattaya Resort before rebranding to InterContinental, it trades on space, mature landscaping and a genuinely private slice of coast: the grounds cascade through tropical gardens and three lagoon-style pools (named Spirituality, Splash and Serenity) down to a small private white-sand beach, an unusual luxury this close to the city. Rooms are large — the classic category is around 51 square metres — and come in Garden View, Ocean View and Pool Terrace styles, decorated with contemporary Asian touches and a private balcony; above them sit suites and villas, plus a well-regarded Club InterContinental floor with its own lounge. Wellness is handled by the Amburaya Spa, with private treatment suites, and dining runs across several restaurants and bars including all-day and seafront options. Guest reviews are largely positive on setting, service and the Club lounge, though some flag that parts of the resort feel dated — worn pool tiles and tired fixtures crop up in feedback — so it trades a little on reputation. Rates are premium but often keener than the newest luxury builds, typically from around 4,500 baht and up depending on season and room.
