Jellyfish Hostel is a small, well-run budget guesthouse in the heart of Jomtien, a short walk from both Jomtien Beach and the quieter Dongtan Beach. Despite the 'hostel' name it is really a compact guesthouse: it has only around seven rooms, and they are private rooms with their own en-suite bathrooms, air-con, TV and a fridge rather than big backpacker dorms — so solo travellers, couples and friends get a cheap, clean, private base without paying hotel prices. It earns consistently high review scores (in the mid-8s out of 10 across the booking sites), and the praise is always the same: spotlessly clean rooms and floors, genuinely friendly and helpful staff, and an unbeatable location for the money, steps from the beach, restaurants, convenience stores and the Jomtien baht-bus route. Rooms start from around 600 baht a night (roughly US$17), rising a little in high season, which makes it one of the better-value beach-adjacent stays in Jomtien. It is a simple, no-frills operation — don't expect a pool, a restaurant or 24-hour reception — but for travellers who mainly want somewhere tidy, secure and close to the sand to sleep and shower between beach days, it punches well above its price. Book ahead, because with so few rooms it fills up fast in peak months.
