It’s a genuine five-star property, spread across expansive grounds about 15–20 minutes south of the city, and it’s built around beach, water and space rather than convenience.

The setting

Ravindra runs on low-rise, Thai-style architecture — tiered roofs, timber detailing and lush landscaping — that gives it a more traditional, resort-island feel than Pattaya’s high-rise beach hotels. The centrepiece is roughly 100 metres of private beachfront on a clean, uncrowded stretch of Na Jomtien, backed by a beachfront infinity pool and two interconnected lagoon pools that wind through the gardens. It’s the kind of place where you can genuinely spend the whole day on-site.

Rooms and villas

The resort has around 273 rooms and villas, all air-conditioned, most with private balconies looking over the pools, gardens or sea, and many with soaking tubs. At the top end sit private pool villas tucked among tropical gardens — a good fit for couples wanting seclusion or families needing room to spread out. Location: the trade-off

The honest catch is distance. Ravindra sits on the quiet southern coast, so there’s no walkable beach road, night market or bar strip at the gate. Getting to central Pattaya, Walking Street or the malls means a taxi or Grab each way, typically 15–20 minutes. For couples and families chasing peace, that isolation is the appeal; for anyone who wants to stroll to dinner and nightlife, a central hotel like those in Central Pattaya will suit better.

Rates and booking

Expect standard-room rates from roughly 2,800–3,900 THB (US$80–115) a night, climbing in high season (December–January) and for pool villas. It’s usually good value for a five-star with a private beach — compare live prices across booking sites for your dates, since promotions swing the price a lot.

The verdict

Ravindra is a relaxed, grown-up beach resort that delivers on space, water and a private beach, let down only slightly by some dated corners and its distance from the action. If a quiet luxury base with the city kept at arm’s length is what you’re after, it’s an easy recommendation. If you want to walk out into Pattaya’s buzz, look closer to the centre.
