Daratalay Jomtien is a tiny, budget 2-star hotel on Soi Welcome, the short lane off Jomtien Beach Road, only a few minutes' walk from Jomtien Beach. With around a dozen rooms it's more a small guesthouse than a hotel, and it aims squarely at the value end of the Jomtien market: simple, clean air-conditioned rooms, several with a private balcony, kitted out with a fridge, cable TV and free WiFi, at cheap nightly rates. It sits on the same quiet soi as a cluster of other small budget properties (Welcome Marina among them), a short stroll back from the beach, close to Jomtien's restaurants, massage shops and the beachfront promenade. Facilities are minimal — think free self-parking, a TV in a common area and a tour/ticket desk rather than a pool or restaurant — so it's best suited to independent travellers who mainly want a cheap, well-placed bed near the sand and don't need resort trimmings. Being small and owner-run, it's the kind of place where booking directly or via the big platforms (Agoda, Booking.com) and confirming your arrival time is worth doing; reception isn't necessarily staffed around the clock. For a no-frills, wallet-friendly stay within walking distance of Jomtien Beach, it does the basics.
