A long-running Jomtien name
Honsehuset Beer Bar is the imported record for Hønsehuset, a Scandinavian-oriented Jomtien bar. Pattaya People’s August 2007 list of Scandinavian places in Pattaya, Jomtien and Naklua included Hønsehuset under Jomtien. That makes this more than a map label: it was part of the area’s expatriate bar landscape at least by 2007.
Soi White House evidence
ScandAsia visited Soi White House in September 2019 and reported that most customers it saw were at Bryghuset and the neighbouring Hønsehuset. The report described the street as a concentration of Danish-owned bars and restaurants, with Danish, Norwegian and Thai flags visible along it. It also noted that locals called the street Soi Denmark. This is the strongest later evidence for the bar’s setting, but it is still a dated observation rather than a live listing.
What the sources do not show
Neither opened source gives Hønsehuset a street number, telephone number, website, menu or timetable. The 2019 article describes the street as quiet on its visit and discusses a wider fall in Scandinavian visitors; it does not say that Hønsehuset had closed. There is therefore no basis to claim that it remains open, that it serves a particular drink, or that its old customer mix still applies.
Practical recommendation
This page is most useful for recognising an older reference to Hønsehuset or tracing Jomtien’s Scandinavian bar history. Treat the Soi White House address as historical orientation. Visitors wanting a functioning bar should check the present tenant in person and skip this listing if they need a verified contact, menu or opening time.
