Pen Bar is best treated as a North Pattaya location-history page, not as a confirmed current recommendation. The older record connects the name with the Wongamat bar area in Naklua. A 2009 forum discussion mentions Pen Bar in a small Wongamat bar centre, and a 2013 thread places it near TJ Bar and Malai Bar. Those reports establish the neighbourhood association, but not a current operating address or service offer.

The Soi 18 move

The most useful dated update is a Der Farang report from 31 March 2023. It says a wave of moves from Naklua Soi 33 brought several businesses to Soi 18, and that Pen Bar reopened in the former TJ’s Music Bar premises. That makes Soi 18, also called Soi Wongamat, the sensible search area for the later record.

This also explains why the stored North Pattaya map point should be handled carefully. Small bars can relocate or take over a previous unit without every directory updating at once. The 2023 report is more specific than the old coordinate, but it is still not a live listing.

What the older material does and does not show

The 2009 discussion gives a period snapshot of Pen Bar as part of Wongamat’s nightlife strip. The 2013 thread independently places the name close to TJ Bar and Malai Bar. Neither source is a menu, timetable or present-day review, so this page does not repeat their historical prices or visitor impressions as if they were current facts.

Should you look for it?

For researching the old Wongamat bar scene, Pen Bar is a useful name and Soi 18 is the place to start. For a drink tonight, it is not the prudent first choice without a recent operator post or a local visual check. Pick a nearby venue with current contact details instead, and regard any Pen Bar sign as something to verify at the door.
