Rehab Bar: a closed Jomtien record

Rehab Bar is no longer a current Jomtien nightlife recommendation. Pattaya Mail reported in December 2020 that Australian owner Simon Brown had opened Welcome Lounge in the Soi Welcome premises previously occupied by Rehab Bar and Jomtien Guesthouse, which had failed in 2018. For anyone searching the old name, the useful answer is that the record belongs to a former venue, not a bar to plan an evening around.

The replacement report also gives more reliable context than generic directory listings. It describes Welcome Lounge as a Jomtien Beach watering hole with graffiti artwork, music, games and events during the difficult border-closure period. That does not prove the current trading status of Welcome Lounge, but it does establish the change at this former site.

Do not confuse the names

The name Rehab Bar was also used by a Soi Buakhao coyote-bar venue. A 2012 Pattaya Forum thread describes that location as a new, compact bar with a stage, rather than a Jomtien Beach guesthouse operation. This is why old searches can return conflicting results: the name alone is not enough to identify the business.

Choose a currently confirmed venue rather than navigating to the historical coordinate for this page. If visiting Soi Welcome, check the business signage and current local listings on arrival; the old Rehab Bar record is useful for history, not for present-day hours, prices or facilities.
