The pub’s Pattaya timeline
Shenanigans Irish Pub first operated around the Marriott and Royal Garden area. In 2007 it moved across Pattaya Second Road to Unit D201 at The Avenue Pattaya, 399/9 Moo 10. That move is documented in a contemporary Pattaya Mail archive.
The verified closure
A specialist Pattaya bar chronology records that the Avenue branch closed in February 2013. That dated evidence is why this page no longer presents old hours, prices, ratings or contact details as current. The former address remains useful for understanding the pub’s history, but it is not an operating venue.
The record also documents a separate Jomtien branch that later became Hemingway’s. That lineage belongs to the Jomtien location; it does not mean Hemingway’s replaced the central branch at The Avenue.
The same chronology said the vacated Avenue unit was set to become The Acorn, described there as a family pub. Because the record states a plan rather than a verified opening, this page does not present The Acorn as a confirmed successor.
What replaced it
The verified record does not name a successor to Shenanigans at Unit D201 in The Avenue. No replacement is inferred here. The documented outcome is that the central branch closed in February 2013, while the separately located Jomtien branch followed its own later history.
Central and Jomtien were separate
The 2007 Pattaya Mail item documents the central pub’s move across Second Road into The Avenue. The later chronology records that Avenue operation closing in February 2013 and discusses the Jomtien branch on its own timeline. This is why a reference to Hemingway’s in Jomtien cannot identify the next tenant of Unit D201. The only sourced proposal for the vacated central unit is The Acorn, and the record does not confirm that it opened.
