About Stars Bar

Stars Bar is best treated as a historical Pattaya beer-bar record rather than a confirmed current venue. The most specific opened source places it on Soi Khao Talo: a Pattaya nightlife directory describes it as a beer bar, records ownership changes in 2015 and 2016, and says it replaced Yes Bar in 2021. That directory also published prices in June 2022, but neither those figures nor that listing proves the bar is trading today.

There is a useful location conflict to keep visible. This directory entry inherited coordinates in Pratumnak, whereas the written reports consistently name Soi Khao Talo. A 2017 Pattaya Addicts discussion independently refers to the old market opposite Stars Bar on Khao Talo. For someone following an old reference, the named road is more helpful than the inherited pin; for a present-day visit, confirm the address locally first.

Historical record

  • Named road in opened reports: Soi Khao Talo
  • Venue type: Beer bar
  • Site history: Listed as replacing Yes Bar in 2021
  • Latest published price note: June 2022, not a current menu

Location and status guidance

  • Coordinates held by this record: Pratumnak area
  • Named-location evidence: Soi Khao Talo
  • Current opening hours: Not verified
  • Current trading status: Not verified

Recommendation

Use the Soi Khao Talo evidence when identifying the older Stars Bar, and treat the Pratumnak pin as a conflicting inherited record. Skip this page for a same-night bar choice: it has no dependable current timetable, menu or confirmation of operation.

The forum thread dates the market reference more precisely. On 17 May 2017 it described a large temporary market at the corner of Sukhumvit Road and Soi Khao Talo; by 3 June, the original poster said it had been reduced to simple stalls. This supports the named-road context but not a permanent navigation landmark.

More nightlife

The Lion Pub

The Lion Pub is a British-style pub recorded near Banglamung Land Office, away from Pattaya's beach-road bar strips.

Caddyshack Pub and Restaurant

Caddyshack is a British-style pub and restaurant listed on Theprasit Soi 8; its old website and some older contact details should not be relied on.

Tigglebitties Tavern

Tigglebitties Tavern is a long-running, pirate-themed open-air sports bar and restaurant on Soi 17 off Pattaya Third Road, at the South Pattaya end of the road up to Pratumnak Hill. It has built a loyal expat following by being three useful things at once: a proper breakfast stop, an all-day tavern with cold beer and enough screens to catch the football or rugby from most seats, and a small guesthouse for those who want to stay above the bar. The kitchen is the real draw — it is best known for big cooked breakfasts, but the menu roams across international pub food, burgers and a solid line in Mexican dishes, at fair prices that undercut the flashier tourist spots. The open-air, family-friendly layout and easy on-site parking (a genuine rarity in Pattaya) set it apart from the cramped beer bars nearer the beach, and the atmosphere leans convivial-regulars rather than rowdy-nightlife. Two things to keep in mind: the kitchen keeps daytime hours and tends to wind down in the late afternoon even though the bar carries on, and despite the tavern name this is more a food-and-sport pub than a late-night drinking den. For a relaxed breakfast, a lazy afternoon of sport, or a cheap Mexican plate with a beer, it is a dependable, good-value pick just off the tourist strip.
