About
The Dukes Lounge is a historical Pattaya bar record, not a recommendation for a current night out. Pattaya Mail reported in September 2014 that a small bar off Soi Khao Noi had changed hands and been renamed from Golden Gate. A contemporaneous visitor post also describes the Golden Gate-to-Dukes change.
The useful part of the record is its charity event. Jimmy White played 26 people there during a Father Ray Foundation fundraiser. The initial games raised ฿26,000, with a raffle, auction and donations adding to the night’s total. That establishes a pool-table event history, but it does not show that a table, staff or the Dukes name remains today.
What to expect
The source trail points to Soi Khao Noi, despite this directory’s older South Pattaya label. For searches connected to the site, try the earlier Golden Gate name as well as The Dukes Lounge. No current operating listing was found, so the safest reading is that this page preserves a former name rather than describing a going concern.
Before going
- For a current bar: Skip this as a destination until a live listing confirms what operates at the site.
- For historical searches: Use both The Dukes Lounge and Golden Gate when checking old pool or charity-event references.
- For directions: Ask locally for Soi Khao Noi, not simply South Pattaya.
- For event claims: The documented figures apply only to the September 2014 fundraiser.
