The Sky Gallery Pattaya

Perched on the rocks of Pratumnak Hill, The Sky Gallery is the spot locals send visitors to when they want to be genuinely wowed. Its terraces step down the cliff toward the water, so almost every table gets the show — and at sunset, with the bay and Koh Larn laid out to the west, it’s one of the most beautiful places to have a drink or a meal anywhere in Pattaya.

The setting

This is a family-owned restaurant-bar built into the cliffside, and the layout is everything. Rather than one flat deck, the seating tumbles down the rocks in a series of open-air terraces, each with an unobstructed view over the sea. There’s no glass tower or rooftop lift involved — you’re at the edge of the land, more or less at sea level in places, with the water below and the horizon in front. It’s a naturally romantic, unhurried space that feels a world away from the neon of central Pattaya.

The atmosphere is relaxed and grown-up rather than a party scene. People come to linger over sunset, not to dance — which is exactly why couples, families and anyone after a calmer evening love it.

The kitchen is broader than the view-first reputation suggests. There’s a wide menu spanning authentic Thai dishes and international plates, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and fresh seafood from local fishermen. It works for a full dinner, a lighter lunch, or just coffee and a cocktail while you watch the light change. Prices sit in the ฿900–1,800 per person range for a proper meal with drinks — clearly priced for the setting, but most visitors feel the view earns it. If you only want the sunset, a single drink costs far less and still buys you the whole spectacle.

The Sky Gallery is up on Pratumnak Hill, tucked into the cliffside lanes off Pratamnak Road. It’s not comfortably walkable from the main beaches, so take a Grab or scooter and have the location pin ready — the small roads up here can confuse drivers. It pairs naturally with other Pratumnak sights like Big Buddha Hill and the Pattaya Viewpoint if you’re making an afternoon of it.

Worth knowing

It’s genuinely popular, so manage expectations at busy times: service can slow when every terrace is full at sunset, and the best tables go quickly.
