Closure status
The current Blu-O contact page lists active branches in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Laos and Cambodia but does not list Pattaya. Major’s corporate material describes Blu-O as the bowling-and-karaoke brand launched in 2006; that brand history does not keep the former Avenue branch operating. The Pattaya City Thai record and the corporate annual report therefore remain historical branch evidence, not a current branch directory.
Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl at The Avenue Pattaya is a historical venue, not a current bowling option. Pattaya Unlimited’s guide, updated in April 2025, labels the venue permanently closed, and the Foursquare record is also marked closed. The former address was the 3rd floor of The Avenue mall on Pattaya Second Road.
The Thai-language Pattaya City development-plan document records Blu-O Bowl at the same Avenue location as historical Pattaya bowling infrastructure. That Thai record supports the former identity and floor location, but it is not evidence that the venue reopened. The current Major Cineplex branch finder still lists Major Cineplex Pattaya as a cinema branch; it does not list the former Blu-O bowling operation as current.
Socialgiver’s current GiveCard page still lists The Avenue Pattaya, 3rd floor with a 12:00-02:00 window and a THB 99 GiveCard against a stated THB 180 value, valid for 60 days. The page also marks that offer not available. This is a useful stale-listing contradiction: it preserves the former floor, hours and offer terms, but it does not outweigh the closure record or prove that lanes and karaoke have reopened.
What the former venue contained
Major Cineplex’s 2016 annual report listed the Pattaya Blu-O branch with 22 bowling lanes and 9 karaoke rooms. Pattaya Unlimited’s older venue description says it had opened in 1997 and describes around 30 lanes with food and drink. Those size claims conflict. The annual report is the more precise dated corporate record, while the guide’s rounded figure is retained as historical context rather than treated as an exact inventory.
The venue operated under Major’s Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl concept, which the company describes as a bowling and karaoke business launched in 2006. The Pattaya branch’s exact closure date, final prices and replacement tenant are not established by the qualifying sources and are not guessed here.
Planning boundary
Do not travel to The Avenue expecting Blu-O lanes or karaoke based on the Socialgiver line. The current Major cinema listing and the former bowling record refer to different services at the same mall complex, while Socialgiver’s GiveCard is marked unavailable. Any replacement bowling venue needs its own current hours, lane availability and prices checked independently.
