Foodland on Central Pattaya Road is the go-to 24-hour supermarket for expats and self-catering travellers who want imported groceries at a fair price. Part of the long-running Thai Foodland chain and open in Pattaya since 1989, it's smaller and less flashy than the big hypermarkets but stocks the things visitors from Europe, the UK, Australia and North America often miss: proper cheeses and cold cuts, imported meat, Western baking supplies, breakfast cereals, sauces and condiments, wine and international snacks, alongside fresh Thai produce, a butchery and a bakery. Being open around the clock makes it invaluable — it's where you end up at midnight for supplies, or early morning after a flight. A signature feature is the on-site 'Took Lae Dee' diner (the name means 'cheap and good'), a counter-style café serving inexpensive Thai and Western dishes and all-day breakfasts right by the entrance — a handy, air-conditioned pit stop while you shop. There's also an in-store pharmacy. Prices on imported goods sit above local-brand equivalents (as they do everywhere in Thailand), but Foodland is generally seen as reasonable value for what it carries, and the quality and range are reliable. It's centrally located on Pattaya Klang between the beach and Sukhumvit, easy to reach by baht bus, Grab or on foot from many central hotels, with parking for drivers. For anyone renting a condo or apartment and cooking for themselves, it's one of the most useful addresses in central Pattaya.
