What it is

Spread across a large, air-conditioned building on Second Road in North Pattaya, the museum holds more than 150 large-scale illusion murals arranged into themed zones — underwater worlds, wild-animal safaris, waterfalls, classical art, Egyptian tombs and famous world landmarks. Each is painted in forced perspective, so from the marked photo spot on the floor the flat wall appears to leap into three dimensions with you inside it.

It’s less a traditional museum you quietly walk through and more an interactive photo playground. Staff and floor markers show you where to stand and how to pose, and the fun is in the doing — and in the slightly ridiculous photos you’ll be showing people afterwards.
