Central Pattaya

Central Pattaya, formerly Central Festival Pattaya Beach, is the current name of the same operating shopping complex. The site has remained continuous; this was a rebrand, not a closure.

The operator’s official site and current map listing use Central Pattaya. The former CentralFestival Pattaya Beach name still appears in old links and visitor searches, which is why this historical slug remains.

Shopping and dining

The multi-storey, air-conditioned complex includes fashion and retail stores, restaurants, cafés, a food court, cinema, tourist services and VAT-refund facilities. Hilton Pattaya is integrated above the mall.

Hours and entrances

Core mall hours are 11:00–22:00 Monday to Thursday and 11:00–23:00 Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Tenant, cinema and event schedules can differ. The complex stretches from Beach Road to Pattaya Second Road, so groups should specify which entrance or floor they are using.

When the mall is genuinely useful

Central Pattaya works best as a practical part of a central-city day. The two-road layout lets visitors enter from the beach, cross an air-conditioned complex and emerge towards Second Road. That makes it a reliable meeting point, rain shelter and cooling break between outdoor stops. It also gives mixed groups several food styles without requiring one restaurant decision in advance.

The operator lists services that matter to travellers as well as shoppers: a tourist information counter, taxi assistance, lost and found, Wi-Fi, lockers, portable-charger rental, wheelchairs, baby strollers and VAT-refund support. Availability can depend on the service desk and its own procedures, so ask staff rather than assuming every item is self-service.

Planning around the two entrances

“Meet at Central” is not precise enough. Beach Road and Second Road are on opposite sides, and people can also wait on different floors. Agree on the road-side entrance plus a visible shop or service counter. For a taxi pickup, repeat the chosen road to the driver and the rest of the group.

The official address is 333/99 Moo 9, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chon Buri 20260. The correct split schedule also matters on weekends: the core mall closes an hour later on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays than it does from Monday to Thursday.

Shopping, food and cinema

The value is breadth rather than a uniquely Pattaya experience. Visitors can browse retail floors, eat in a food court or table-service restaurant, stop for coffee and add a cinema screening. The exact tenant mix and film times change, so the current directory and cinema schedule are better tools than a static list of brands.

Allow one to two hours for a meal and selective shopping, or longer when cinema is part of the plan. Someone using only the mall as a cooling stop can pass through in less than an hour. Build around the activity with the fixed time, such as a film, and keep shopping flexible.

Who should go and who should skip it

Choose Central Pattaya for an air-conditioned pause, convenient group dining, familiar retail or a central meeting point with practical services. It is also a sensible wet-weather fallback when beach plans become uncomfortable.

Skip it as a dedicated attraction if the aim is independent local food, handmade goods or market bargaining. A street market offers more local atmosphere, while this is a polished commercial complex. Visitors already spending substantial time in malls at home may prefer to use it only for a specific meal, service or cinema screening.
