About

Burapha Golf & Resort is the course Pattaya golfers reach for when they want a lot of good golf for not much money. It’s a sprawling 36-hole complex out at Bo Win, in Si Racha district about 30–40 minutes north of the city, and it has the pedigree to back up the scale: designed by the American team of David Graham and Gary Panks, opened in 1993, and used over the years for professional tournaments including the Thailand Open and the Singha Thailand Championship. What keeps it popular with visiting golfers, though, is the combination of championship layout and genuinely modest green fees — you get a tournament-grade course for close to the price of a mid-range one.

The courses

The 36 holes are arranged as four nine-hole loops — A, B, C and D — grouped into an East Course (A–B) and a West Course (C–D), each playing to par 72 (roughly 6,948 and 6,828 yards from the tips). The four-nine setup is the practical draw: a group staying a few days can play a different 18 each round. The two courses have distinct personalities. The East nines are the flatter, wider, American-style holes — forgiving off the tee and comfortable for improving or higher-handicap golfers. The West nines are longer and tougher, with more shaping, elevated tee boxes, semi-rough that gathers loose shots and better-defended greens; this is where stronger players find their test. Lakes, palms and gentle hills run through both, and the elevated tees give some attractive views over the countryside toward the coast.

Green fees, caddies and rentals

Value is the headline. Green fees typically land in the 1,000–2,000 baht range for 18 holes, depending on season, weekday-versus-weekend and tee time — well below the region’s marquee courses for a comparable challenge. As everywhere in Thailand, a caddie is compulsory and adds to the bill, and a cart runs around 600 baht if you want one (some visitors note carts can drive on the fairways here, subject to conditions). Club rental is about 800 baht, shoes around 200 and an umbrella 150, so you can travel light. Because rates move with season and are often bundled into golf packages with transfers, it pays to confirm the all-in figure when you book rather than assume the rack rate.

Getting there

The resort is at 281 Moo 4 on Route 331, near Bo Win in Si Racha — north of Pattaya and inland, roughly a 30–40 minute drive from the beach depending on traffic. There is no practical public transport: plan on a golf-tour transfer, a private car with driver, or a pre-booked Grab, and organise the return leg before you set off, as you won’t flag a taxi at the gate. Its position on the 331 also makes it an easy add-on for golfers travelling between Pattaya and Bangkok or the eastern seaboard. Find it on Google Maps.

Good to know

Why play here: four championship nines, real tournament pedigree, excellent value green fees and well-regarded caddies — a lot of quality golf for the money, and enough variety to fill a multi-round trip.

Know before you go: the clubhouse and resort buildings are dated and haven’t seen much recent investment, so manage expectations on facilities. It’s a fair drive from Pattaya, tee sheets fill with tour groups in high season, and — as with every course out here — you’ll need to sort your own transport both ways.
