What the temple is
DASTA describes Wat Na Jomtien as a peaceful old temple, next to a school, with a spacious, shady ground and few monks in residence.
It is also the site of a statue of King Taksin the Great. DASTA says this was the camp of King Taksin's army while he gathered men to fight Burma and take Ayutthaya back, and that a Privy Councillor recently led a ceremony at the statue.
