What the temple is

DASTA tells the temple's founding story: in 1771 Saengthong, a landowner in Nong Pla Lai, met a monk, Luangta Glub, while working in the fields, and the two agreed to build a temple.

Two brothers, monks expert in building, Chao Khun Nong and Chao Khun Yai, came from Wat Nong Yai to build it.
