Fairtex Training Center

Fairtex Training Center on North Pattaya Road is one of the most famous Muay Thai camps in the world — the gym behind champions like Stamp Fairtex and Yodsanklai, and the training arm of the Fairtex equipment brand founded in 1971. Unlike the spartan camps of old, this is a large, purpose-built complex: multiple full-size rings, rows of heavy bags, a matted area for BJJ and MMA, a fitness gym, pool and on-site accommodation at the attached sports club and hotel. Training is open to everyone, not just fighters — walk-in visitors can buy single sessions, while most guests book weekly or monthly packages that combine twice-daily group classes (morning from 7:30am, afternoon from 2:30pm, Monday to Saturday) with optional private rounds with the camp's Thai trainers, many of them former stadium champions. Expect to train alongside a genuinely mixed crowd: pro fighters preparing for ONE Championship bouts, fitness tourists, and total beginners getting patient pad-work coaching. Prices are higher than backstreet Thai gyms — you are paying for the name, facilities and trainer depth — but it remains the default answer to 'where should I train Muay Thai in Pattaya?'. Book packages and rooms ahead in high season.

Strengths and trade-offs

Why train here: world-class Thai trainers (many former stadium champions), the best facilities of any Pattaya camp, and beginner-friendly group classes alongside a genuine pro fight team.

Know before you go: it costs noticeably more than small local gyms, and group classes get crowded in high season — budget travellers who just want pad work may prefer a backstreet camp.

Frequently asked questions

Can beginners train at Fairtex Pattaya?

Yes. Group classes are split by level and the trainers are used to first-timers — plenty of guests have never worn gloves before arriving. Private one-on-one sessions are the fastest way to learn basics if a full group class feels intimidating.

How much does training at Fairtex cost?

Expect roughly 600–800 baht for a drop-in group session, with weekly and monthly packages (and stay-and-train deals with the on-site hotel) working out cheaper per session; private sessions cost more. Prices change — check the official site for current rates.

Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?

Drop-ins are usually fine for a single group class — arrive 15–20 minutes before the 7:30am or 2:30pm session. Book ahead for private sessions, stay-and-train packages, and anything in high season (November–March).

Does Fairtex have accommodation?

Yes — the camp is part of a sports club complex with on-site hotel rooms, a pool and a restaurant, so many visitors sleep, eat and train without leaving the grounds. Staying elsewhere and commuting in is also common; it is on North Pattaya Road, an easy baht-bus or Grab ride from the centre.
