What is inside
The mall opened in 2009 as CentralFestival Pattaya Beach and now trades as Central Pattaya; Central Pattana, its operator, reworked it in 2019 as a "lifestyle resort" shopping centre. Wikipedia describes seven floors, more than 370 shops, a five-floor Central department store and direct access to the Hilton Pattaya, the hotel tower above it.
The operator's own pages describe international and Thai fashion, sportswear, cosmetics, places to eat at every price, a family zone with indoor and outdoor play, a cinema, a tourist service centre and lounge, and an open-air green space on the beachfront side used for events.
In practice, it is the mall in the city centre with the widest choice of brands under one roof, a short walk from the beach.
Opening hours and services
Central Pattana's branch page, checked on 1 October 2026, gives 11:00 to 22:00 from Monday to Thursday and 11:00 to 23:00 from Friday to Sunday. Entry is free; the department store, the supermarket and the cinema keep their own hours.
Its page for international visitors lists these services:
- A tourist information counter and a VAT refund counter.
- Self-service lockers for bags, handy between check-out and a late transfer.
- Wheelchair and pushchair rental, and phone-charger rental.
- A taxi stand, lost and found, and free wi-fi throughout.
- The 1 Tourist membership, for points and shop discounts.
Getting there
The mall fills the block between Beach Road and Second Road. Beach Road carries traffic south and Second Road north, so a shared songthaew (baht bus) on Beach Road from North Pattaya stops at the front, and one on Second Road from South Pattaya stops at the back; Beach Road, Second Road and Third Road explained shows how the loop works.
For a ride-hailing car, pin the entrance on the side the car arrives on, and when you meet someone, name the Beach Road or the Second Road entrance. For every option, see getting around Pattaya.
Who it suits, and tips
- Visitors staying central who want brands, a department store and a cinema in one place.
- Groups who need one easy meeting point near the beach.
- A last day: lockers and a taxi stand bridge the gap between check-out and the airport transfer.
For a tourist VAT refund, ask in the shop before you pay and carry your passport; the service desk explains the forms. Weekends are busiest, so go soon after opening for room to walk.
It suits you less for discounts: Central Marina in North Pattaya and Outlet Mall Pattaya on Sukhumvit Road are built around outlet prices.
Nearby
Royal Garden Plaza, with Ripley's Believe It or Not, is a short walk south along Beach Road, and Mike Shopping Mall is between the two. Listings place Pattaya Night Bazaar, an indoor market, across Second Road. The beach is across Beach Road.
