What you see

DASTA, the government agency that runs the area’s official tourist listings, describes about 1,000 rai of vines beside the reservoir below Khao Chi Chan, the Buddha image cut into the cliff. Between the rows are flower beds, European-style wooden houses and an American-style farmhouse, which are what most visitors photograph.

The farm sells its own grape products: wine, grape juice, jam and raisins. Its Wikipedia entry lists Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon among its grapes, and names Surachai Tangjaitrong and Supansa Nuangpirom as its founders in 2002.

Hours, entry and the tram

Entry is free, and the farm opens from 08:30 to 18:00 every day, by DASTA’s listing. The paid part is the tram: 70 to 100 baht a person for a ride of 30 to 45 minutes through the vines, with stops for photographs. The listing does not say what decides the price within that range, so ask at the ticket point.

Most of the visit is outdoors with little shade. Late afternoon is cooler than midday and gives softer light over the lake; bring a hat and water.

Getting there and combining it

The vineyard is inland, south of Na Jomtien, and public transport is limited, so go by taxi, ride-hailing car or a day tour, and agree the waiting time and the return before you set off. Khao Chi Chan is beside it, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand puts that about 30 minutes by car from central Pattaya.

The two make a half day together. Nong Nooch Tropical Garden lies in the same direction for a full day south, and Viharn Sien is nearby if you want an indoor stop in the heat.

Who it suits

Couples and families who want an easy, open-air stop with photographs, and anyone already heading to Khao Chi Chan. It is a farm visit rather than a tasting tour: the listing names the products on sale but no guided tasting, so ask on the day if that is why you are going.

Questions

Is Silverlake Vineyard free?

Yes. DASTA’s listing, checked on 30 October 2026, gives no admission fee. The tram tour of the vines is the paid extra, at 70 to 100 baht a person.

How long should I allow?

About an hour: 30 to 45 minutes on the tram and time for photographs. Add Khao Chi Chan next door for a half day.

Can I visit with children?

Yes. Entry is free, the tram does the walking and the farm is open from 08:30 to 18:00. Bring hats and water, as most of it is outdoors, and keep it to the cooler late afternoon with young children.
